about us

The rhizome of this perennial has an orange-red sap, thus the name "Bloodroot." The showy flowers have eight to twelve pedals that are one to two inches long. The Bloodroot blooms between March and May.

It is ideally suited to shaded, moist areas. Empty the entire contents of the package into a hole about three inches deep. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
