about us

This Member of the Mint family is also known as Oswego Tea. The name comes from the plant's use by the Oswego Native Americans and early settlers to make tea. The plant is especially attractive to hummingbirds.

The large round flower consists of numerous tubular red segments terminating at the end of a two to five foot stem.

Blooming time is from June to August. The Bee-Balm grows best in semi-shaded, moist areas. The root should be planted about two inches deep. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
