This member of the violet family has flowers that vary in color from white to violet and reach one inch in diameter. The Birdsfoot Violet's many-lobed leaves resemble bird's feet.
Its blooming time is from March to May. The plant grows about three to six inches tall and likes some direct sunlight. Empty the entire contents of the package into a hole one to two inches deep in a sunny, well drained location. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
