This beautiful wild relative of the cultivated iris has small, blue, sweet scented flowers about six inches tall. After blooming, the attractive, wide leaves grow up to one foot tall. Blooming time is from April to May.

     The Crested Iris should be planted in semi-moist, partially shaded areas. Dump the entire contents of the package into a hole about one inch deep. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
