about us

This early spring wildflower has three-lobed leaves that remain green for most of the year. During winter they may become bronze in color and die back just before flowers appear. The one inch flowers vary in color from white to pink to lavender.

The Hepatica grows best in semi-moist to dry woodlands. It grows to about 6" tall and blooms from February to May. The root should be planted with the point of growth at the surface of the soil. Some plants may not grow or bloom until the second season.
