The New York Fern is a medium sized fern that grows in colonies. A fern is a flowerless seedless vascular plant and reproduces with spores in place of seeds. This deciduous fern has delicate, yellow-green leaves and grows to a height of one to two feet tall.
The New York Fern is best grown in semi-moist or moist shaded areas in soil with a high content of organic material. The rhizome should be planted no more than one inch deep.
