This is one of the larger Trilliums, growing up to two feet tall. The flower color varies from red to maroon and is borne on a small stalk above the leaves. Blooming time is from April to June. All Trilliums have three leaves and three petals.
Trilliums should be grown in shaded, wooded areas in decomposed leaf mold. Place the entire contents of the package in a hole about three inches deep. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
