This wild relative of the cultivated geranium grows up to two feet tall. The rosy-purple flowers appear from March to May and are about one inch across.

     The Wood Geranium is best suited for wooded areas. It may also, however, be grown in the open. Empty the entire contents of the package into a hole about three inches deep. Some varieties may not grow and bloom until the second season.
